Type of commission

permanent commission   this is only for man candidates

Short Service Commission this is a for both men and women candidate

difference between the commission

in permanent commission the candidate is recruited for the minimum of 15 years or for the maximum age  as of for the defence exam.  but for the Short Service Commission the aspirants   are selected for only 10 years  which can further extended 4 years for the desired candidate

Type of exam
1. WRITTEN EXAM:
| Written exam consist MCQ type (objective) question papers in both English and Hindi language with max. marks 100 and time limit of 2 hours each.
– Candidates who are appearing for the AFA , INA, IMA have to give 3 papers 
III. Candidates who are successfully cleared  there written will be called for ssb interview on their respective centres.

For IMA, INA, AFA

Max marks in written are 300 ( 100 in each subbject)

further you have to appear in ssb which also contains 300 marks

after clearing ssb you have to go through medical examination.

If one is successful in all these examinations than he/she has to go through the Merit.

Merit will be purely on the basis of marks taken in written and ssb interview.

marks of educational qualification do not taken into the account for preparation of final merit list.

FOR OTA

Written exam will be of 200 marks ( 100 marks in each subject)

after clearing written one has to go through ssb process which is also of 200 marks.

If candidate clear SSB than he/she has to go through medical examination.

after this final Merit list will be prepared.

Final merit list will be only on the basis of written and ssb marks.

educational marks will not be taken into account while making the final merit list.
